Spotify has made a light-weight software program which allows instant enjoying specific tracks or albums with without any loading delay. It had been released in the fall of 2008 and had roughly 10 million users by September 2010.

Spotify provides streaming music from main and independent record labels such as Sony, EMI, Warner Music Group, and Universal. Users download Spotify and then go to their service allowing the on-demand streaming of music. Songs can be browsed by artist, album, record label, genre or playlist and by direct searches.

Installation
Being a first-time user, you put in the free Spotify Mac/PC application, open it up, watching as it instantly loads your audio collection and playlists from iTunes and also other music software program and presents you with a landing page filled up with new releases, top lists, and music shared from your friends. Setup is swift.

Interface
Spotify’s finished, iTunes-like interface can be as inviting to music fans as a well-stocked record bin. Each area of the bento-boxlike layout can be resized, and playback, volume, and track scrubber controls are put neatly over the bottom. Browser-style back and forward buttons located left of the search box permit you to dig your way back out out of the rabbit hole of audio discovery.

Features and support
Spotify’s big trick is a little search box on top of the display that allows you to find any relatively preferred artist, song, or album in existence and stream it instantly. You cannot have The Beatles, but we’d no issue finding greats just like The Rolling Stones and David Bowie, and obscure indies such as The Ghastly Ones or Four Tet.

Quite simply, you know your pc what you would like to hear, and it performs it for you for free, and with out limitations for about 6 months. It does not play something such as the song you would like , or a 30- to 60-second clip of the song you want (like iTunes)–it plays you the whole song or album, just like if it were in your personal music collection.
